The Breeders - All Nerve (orange vinyl while supplies last/March 2nd)

March 2nd. If you'd prefer standard black vinyl just let us know.

* 4AD are pleased to present The Breeders’ long awaited fifth album, All Nerve.

* Featuring recent single ‘Wait in the Car, it is the group’s first record in a decade and available March 2, 2018.

* All Nerve reunites band members Kim and Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs and Jim Macpherson – the line up behind the iconic and Canadian platinum selling record, Last Splash.

* The quartet returned to the stage in 2013 to celebrate that album’s 20th anniversary and have been quietly working on new material since then.

* Recording took place at Candyland in Dayton, Kentucky with Mike Montgomery; Electrical Audio, Chicago, with Steve Albini and Greg Norman; and with Tom Rastikis at Fernwood Studios, Dayton, Ohio.

* Album artwork was conceived by Chris Bigg, who has worked with the Breeders since their first album, Pod.

* Chris Bigg and Martin Andersen also worked on the video for ‘Wait In The Car’ by compiling over 800 images. The images feature subjects ranging from song lyrics to abstractions of bricks. Bigg and Andersen explain in a statement:

“It all started with a brick. We both liked the idea of using something iconic yet quite banal. An old brick has a story, and it’s a beautiful raw object. We started collecting more and more (some intact, some broken) and realized how different they all appear, each one having its own identity.”

* Following a successful club run last year, the band will be on the road throughout 2018, including dates in Vancouver April 11 (Commodore Ballroom), May 5th Montreal (Corona Theatre) and The Phoenix in Toronto May 6th.

* Major press coverage in Pitchfork, NPR, New York Times, Rolling Stone, Marc Maron, and more.

“A blurt of jolting joy”. - NPR

“A classic Breeders bruiser, packed with punchy drums, sugar-rush power chords and lead riffs”. -ROLLING STONE

“Wait in the Car” runs through all the hallmarks of a classic Breeders song: layered harmonies that manage to sound both euphoric and weary, vacillating between power chords, and a sneering Kim mandate. Though it has been 24 years since these last four recorded together, “Wait in the Car” effortlessly brushes away time”. – PITCHFORK
